Terms & Conditions

  1. Booking 

Clients must ensure that their requirements for the following week are e-mailed or text to us no later than Sunday evenings. We will try to accommodate last minute bookings where possible however there is no guarantee. We will fit to the timings requested where possible, however unforeseen circumstances or prior bookings may result in the time being altered. There may be additional fees for bank holidays which will be advised at the time of booking. A pre-meeting with the pets and owners will be required prior to receiving any services for all new clients. For Pet Sits we ask for a minimum of two-days notice prior to your proposed pet sit and a small deposit at the time of booking will be required to secure your place (25% of full stay). If the deposit is not sent at the time of your booking, we are not able to guarantee your place. The same applies to pet sits as walking where pre-meets are concerned

  1. Cancellations 

For dog walks, you may cancel your booked slot provided you give a minimum of 24-hours notice, you will not be charged. However, if a cancellation is made within 24-hours of the walk commencing, half of the full rate will be charged. For pet sits we require a minimum of four-days notice to cancel. Failure to do so will result in 25% of the stay payable and your deposit being non-refundable. Once the pet sit commences, full payment is due under any circumstances. In the rare event that Wags to Wishes cannot provide the service agreed, we will do our best to arrange an alternate slot. If an alternate slot cannot be agreed then you will be refunded if you have paid prior.

  1. Charges 

Charges are as advised on booking. Please be aware that our rates are very competitive and are not negotiable. For pet sits you are charged for the duration of the pet being cared for, this can be booked in 24 hour or 12 hour slots any extra hours (i.e. 25 hours) will be charged at the 24 hour rate and an additional per hour rate of £10 per hour. We keep an accurate record of customers bookings and invoice customers their balances after the service has completed. If you require a written quote please request this as soon as possible.

  1. Termination Policy

Clients and Wags to Wishes agree to give one week’s written notice to cancel the agreement. If you do not require the service for that week a cost of 50% of that week’s walks will be due. This will be based on an average of your previous 4 weeks.

  1. Flexibility is required

We are fully insured to walk up to four dogs at a time. Whilst every effort is made to have walks one-to-one, your dog may be walked with other friendly dogs with your permission. Your booked time is an estimate only and whilst we make every effort to arrive at the time given, depending on road conditions and unforeseen circumstances, please allow approximately 30 minutes after your booked time slot for The Dog Walker to attend. In adverse weather conditions please understand that we are still open and may be slightly delayed. Please note that time starts from when Wags to Wishes arrives at your property. Clients may also make further requests to The Dog Walker which will take extra time out of your booked walk.

  1. Aggressive Animals 

The Client will accept liability for all costs (including but not limited to medical care, legal fees, etc.) if the Client’s pet(s) should bite or attack another animal or person. The Client agrees that on booking services they have expressed their pet(s) true background. If any incidents involving attacks on animals or people occur after the agreement has commenced, the Client agrees to contact Wags to Wishes as soon as possible to notify the service provider of this. If the Clients pet(s) show any aggressive behaviour towards a service provider, or should its behaviour become unacceptable beyond reasonable measure then the Client agrees that the service can be terminated with immediate effect by Wags to Wishes and the pet(s) are to be returned to the location from which it was collected.

  1. Unforseen Purchases 

In the unlikely event that any additional items need to be purchased in the absence of the Client for the welfare of the pet(s) (e.g. food, litter, cleaning supplies, harnesses, leads or other necessary items) then Wags to Wishes will retain a receipt and the Client is responsible for reimbursement of these items on their return.

  1. Keys 

Wags to Wishes will obtain a copy of your house key for the duration of the service provided. All keys will be coded and kept securely until the client terminates the agreement or requests otherwise.

  1. Updates 

Please inform us of any changes regarding your contact details, pet(s) care needs, emergency contact details and other important information.

  1. Privacy Policy

All of your personal data will be kept private, confidential and secure. All data will be used lawfully, fairly and data use will have limited use only for specified purposes in the service provided. All data will only be stored for as long as necessary, if the Client moves away or fails to contact Wags to Wishes in over 24 months then the Client’s information will be destroyed safely and securely. All of our records will be stored in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018

  1. Insurance

All reasonable care is taken to ensure the integrity and suitability of the care provided. Wags to Wishes has valid public liability insurance, for the peace of mind of its clients. You are able to view these documents on request. The insurance only covers Wags to Wishes, for the duration of the selected service, and only for services agreed. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the property, its contents and pets are adequately insured throughout the duration of the assigned services.

  1. Inclement Weather 

Wags to Wishes will try to carry out your instructions to the best of our ability. However, in cases of extreme weather, we will contact you with alternative arrangements.

  1. Medication/Vaccinations/Immunisations 

Wags to Wishes will follow instructions to administer medications as directed but we cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result. Under no circumstances will Wags to Wishes service any pet that has any form of active contagious illness. In regards to dog walking we require a copy of a valid vaccination certificate. If Wags to Wishes is bitten or exposed to any disease or ailment received from the Clients pet(s) which has not been properly or currently vaccinated, the client will be responsible for all costs and damages that may be incurred as a result.

  1. Equipment 

Please provide all necessary equipment for the care of your pet. This includes, but is not limited to, leads, collars, cat litter, waste bags, scoopers, tags etc. For waste disposal, please clearly indicate where you would like your pet(s) waste to be disposed of.

  1. Property Security 

Wags to Wishes does not accept any responsibility or liability for any clients animals that escape or become lost or injured, fatal or otherwise, when instructed to leave the clients animals in a fenced area. This includes electronic, wood, metal or any other type of fence, or in a premises that contains an unlocked cat flap.

  1. Cleaning 

Wags to Wishes will clean up after your pets to the best of their ability. Please inform them of the designated area for the appropriate cleaning supplies. Wags to Wishes is not responsible for carpet/ flooring stains created by your pet(s). We request that you provide plastic bags, towels, cleaning products, paper towels and bin bags. If there are accidents above and beyond the normal amount anticipated, we will charge a reasonable fee for clean up time.

  1. Household Emergencies 

Details of shut off points for services into the property are to be provided on the Home Information Sheet. In the event of a household emergency, your emergency contact will be contacted to arrange any remedial work. .

  1. Liability 

The Client is solely responsible for any and all harm or damage caused by their dog while it is under the care of Wags to Wishes and we shall not be liable to the Client or be deemed to be in breach of the contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of its obligations in relation to the services, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond Wags to Wishes’ reasonable control.
